Please offer a name for a new company!
As "Rīgas satiksme" is in the process of establishing a subsidiary that will deal with implementing a new information system in Riga public transport, you are welcome to propose a name for the new company.
Please email your proposals to info@rigassatiksme.lv until 28.01.2011.
The new information system will decrease the number of delays in public transport (departures from the schedule) and will enable providing passengers with timely and precise information on public transport traffic schedules, intervals between routes and stops. It will also enable providing passengers quickly with necessary additional information, e.g. about transfer opportunities at the coming stop, forecasting and informing passengers about the arrival time of a public transport vehicle at the public transport stop concerned. It will also make public transport safer for passengers by establishing video surveillance inside and outside vehicles.
